I am living in Noida – Delhi NCR since last 15 years and I have seen this city developing in many aspects through out these years.
With developments across various sectors such as real estate, Information Technology, Transportation, education is one of the sector which is getting costlier every year.
Below is the education fee (aka tuition fee) I am paying every month for my 2 kids since last 3 years
| Year | Class / Grade | Monthly Fees (in INR) | % increase |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2024 | Grade 2 | 12500 | ~ 8% |
| 2025 | Grade 3 | 13500 | ~ 8% |
| 2026 | Grade 4 | 14225 | ~ 5.5% |
| Year | Class / Grade | Monthly Fees (in INR) | % increase |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2024 | – | – | – |
| 2025 | Nursery | 5000 | |
| 2026 | KG 1 | 5500 | ~ 10% |
Other fees such as academic fee (one time), stationary fee, transportation fee are not included in this structure.
We all want our kids to receive a good, quality education, but it is now evident that both come with a hefty price. The sad part is that we, as parents, know that the rising school fees each year are unethical, but we feel helpless, bound by our private jobs. We worry that if we raise this concern with the school, they may sideline our kids from co-curricular activities and other mainstream channels.
The government should plan and regulate this process because, if this does not happen, the day won’t be far when opting for a good education will mean buying 10 g of gold every quarter.
